Product, Design and Care
We make screens that offer more protection with less buffeting by utilizing these basic design concepts:
Compound vs. Simple Curves - We use compound curves in our designs to add strength and create a more aerodynamic shape to better control the airflow. For instance, an egg shape is more aerodynamic than a flat or can shape.
Airfoils & Laminar Flow - Our definition of Laminar Flow is different than the technical definition of Laminar Flow. We do this to help the customer understand how and why our windscreens work.
Our definition of Laminar Flow is: Air "sticking" to the frontside and the backside of the windscreen, with slower moving air on one side & faster on the other. When this air connects, it smoothes out the air leaving the top of the screen. This smooth airflow hits the lip at the top of the screen and kicks it 4-6" higher than a screen without this design. This lip and the screen has to be designed perfectly for this to happen. Other screens may have this lip but if it is not engineered to work with the rest of the screen it will not have the same results.

Dual-Lok (TM) is an industrial strength interlocking fastening system made by 3M (TM). Dual-Lok attaches to your bike or headlight with an adhesive backing safe for motorcycle/automotive applications. Each piece has mushroom shaped stems which interlock together to form a strong secure hold. An audible "snap" is heard once Dual-Lok is engaged, taking the product off is just as easy.
View our Dual-Lok page for more details and replacement pieces.
Keeper Wires
We recommend Keeper-Wires for AeroFlow Accessories that are attached with Dual-Lok. If the part is inadvertently bumped, the mated Dual-Lok halves can loosen and increase the potential of loss. Dual-Lok can securely hold parts only if the halves are properly seated, inspected and maintained. Check all of the Dual-Lok fasteners for damage to the heads and stalks. Also, check the mounting adhesive to make sure that it’s not pulling away from the mounting surface. If Dual-Lok is not secure, or if the stalks are worn or damaged, replace them immediately. We recommend replacing the Dual-Lok every 12-18 months to avoid loss or damage. Although not absolutely necessary, a keeper wire is simple and easy insurance against possible loss or theft. It involves drilling a hole in the part you want to secure, threading fishing line or a thin piece of wire through the hole, and attaching it to a part of the bike. That's all there is to it.- Drill a 1/16" dia. hole in the part, about 1/4" away from the edge of the part, that's close to a screw or other attachment point.
- Thread a minimal amount of fishing line or wire through the hole you've drilled, then knot it.
- If using a screw as the bike attachment point, loosen the screw a couple of turns, tie off the wire under the screw-head, and then re-tighten. If there is no screw nearby, other attachment points may require you to get creative. Just make sure the Keeper-Wire is connected to a secure location.
- Ensure Keeper-Wirer does not interfere with any mechanical or moving part.
