Eliminate wind noise, turbulence, back-pressure and buffeting
The Hybrid AeroScreen offers both drivers and passengers the most helmet and shoulder protection when compared to our other K1600 AeroScreens. The gently flared top directs airflow 2-3″ higher when compared to an unflared screen, providing quiet, over-the-helmet airflow, while looking over the top of the screen.
We’ve increased the air intake at the bottom of the screen to allow more airflow along the backside of the AeroScreen. The airflow that is traveling along the backside, combines with the air traveling along the front of the screen, at the flared top. When these 2 airflows combine, the air is pushed up and over your helmet(s), eliminating back-pressure, wind noise and turbulence.
Excellent coverage at a lower screen position
Optimum airflow occurs when the AeroScreen is raised no more than 2″ from full down, and at that point, we want the top of the AeroScreen to be nose to lip level. When you raise the screen more than 2″ from full down, you increase the gap between the screen and dash, increasing the air that hits your torso, arms, shoulders and helmet. Generally, a taller screen in a lower position will work better than a shorter screen raised all the way up.
Hybrid vs Stock GT
Use the measurements to determine where the top edge of the Hybrid screen will be relative to your line of sight. Ideally, we want the top of the AeroScreen to be nose to lip level when raised no more than 2″. With your bike off the center stand, raise your stock screen 1″ to 2″ from the full down position.
- Standard: Measure 5/8″ vertically from the top, center of the stock screen.
If your stock screen is close to nose/lip level when raised 1″ to 1 1/2″, the Standard AeroScreen would be the correct choice. Usually for riders with custom, low seats.
Actual plastic length, 21″. - Medium: Measure 1 3/4″ vertically from the top, center of the stock screen.
Generally recommended for riders up to 5’10”, with the stock seat.
Actual plastic length, 23″. - Tall: Measure 3 3/4″ vertically from the top, center of the stock screen.
Generally recommended for 5’10” + riders that have a longer torso, aftermarket seat, bar-risers, etc. to 6’2″ riders.
Actual plastic length, 25″. - Extra Tall: Discontinued Actual plastic length, 27″.

- Standard: For riders that look through the stock screen when it’s raised, our Standard height AeroScreen sits 1 1/8″ lower than stock. Being lower than stock, you’ll be able to raise the screen for optimum airflow without having to look through it. Actual plastic length, 21″.
- Medium: Essentially the same height as your stock screen. If your stock screen is nose to lip level when raised 1″ to 1/2″ the Medium AeroScreen would be the correct choice. Generally recommended for riders up to 5’10”. Actual plastic length, 23″.
- Tall: Measure 1 1/2″ vertically from the top, center of the stock screen. Generally recommended for riders 5’11” and up. Actual plastic length, 25″.
- Extra Tall: Discontinued
