More aerodynamically efficient shape
The AeroScreen is taller, closer to the driver, and wider than the stock screen. The gently flared top directs airflow 2″-3″ higher when compared to an unflared screen, providing quiet, over-the-helmet airflow, while looking over the top of the screen.
Includes Laminar Flow Plate
The Laminar Flow Plate replaces the stock BMW deflector at the top of the dash & is a key ingredient to making the screen work. Once the AeroScreen is lifted approximately 1 1/2″, air flows under the AeroScreen and up the dash. The Laminar Flow Plate controls this airflow and attaches it to the backside of the AeroScreen.
Excellent coverage at a lower screen position
The airflow that is directed by the Laminar Flow Plate follows the AeroScreens contours to the top of the AeroScreen where it merges with the airflow from the front. This combined airflow smoothes out the air leaving the top of the screen, which, in turn, is pushed up and over the driver and passenger, all while looking over the top of the screen.
2 Heights available to suit all drivers
Standard AeroScreen
Dimension A: 18 3/4″
1 3/4″ taller than BMW short screen, 1/4″ taller than BMW Tall screen.
Dimension B: 17 5/8″
Tall AeroScreen
Dimension A: 20 5/8″
3 5/8″ taller than BMW short screen, 2 1/2″ taller than BMW Tall screen.
Dimension B: 18 1/8″
Height Recommendations:
Optimum airflow occurs when AeroScreen is lifted 1″ to 1 1/2″ from full down position. The best way to determine the correct height is to measure the heights available and go with the tallest one you can easily/comfortably see over.
Standard height for drivers to 5’10”.
Tall height for drivers up to 6’6″.
