On a unfaired bike like the GS,
even a well designed windscreen provides, at best, just minimal protection for a
driver and passenger. That's why we design Half Fairings for the GS's.
In our opinion, the Half Fairing design is the only way to create an envelope of
protection for a driver, or 2-up, that provides an unequalled level of comfort.
Our Half Fairing offers over the helmet airflow with no turbulence, no buffeting
and no back pressure. Protection you can't attain with just a windscreen.

Half Fairing Upper Windscreen Portion
●The Upper Windscreen
portion allows airflow to the backside of the windscreen. This airflow
combines with the air traveling on the front of the screen at the "flare" or
"lip", pushing the air up and over your helmet.
●Upper Windscreen portion
available in 4 heights: Standard, Medium, Tall & Extra Tall.
●Heights
measured vertically from top, front edge of gas tank. With bike on center
stand.

The best way to
determine the correct height, is to measure the heights available and go with
the tallest one you can easily/comfortably see over.

Half Fairing Body Portion
●Directs air down, out and
away from the rider. The Fairing Body delivers lower torso protection and
expands the envelope of protection.
●Fairing
Body available in Clear or Smoke. Clear Body is paintable to match your
bike, simply spray the backside of the Body with spray paint made for plastics.
●Fairing
Body width, measured horizontally with yard stick.
Width at widest point: 24 1/2"
●Available
with special cuts to accommodate Adventure models or Hepco & Becker Engine
Guards.
New Style Aluminum Brackets
●The
new style brackets are designed to fit the both the '08-on and the '05-'07 GS's.
●All
Brackets, with exception of the "Lower Side Brackets," will be aluminum, which
accounts for a 40% weight reduction, approximately 3 pounds. The "Lower
Side Brackets" will not be made in aluminum, but will remain steel, and are
model specific, meaning the '05-'07 brackets do not fit the '08-on models and
vice versa.
●Limited quantity of
the original Steel Brackets ('05-'07 only) available.
Notes
●Half Fairing will
not mount properly with a Touratech Headlight Guard or similarly mounted covers.
●Please
advise us if you need the Adventure or Hepco & Becker modified versions of the
Half Fairing.
●Non
US R1200GS models may require longer turn signal stalks to fit thru the opening in
Fairing Body. The turn signal stalks are available thru
A&S BMW,
for approximately $15 each, the part numbers are listed below. You will
also need to extend the wiring for each turn signal by 2".
