What type of
plastic does AeroFlow use?
The plastic we use is Implex Plus manufactured by Atoglas North
America. Implex impact acrylic sheet combines the UV stability
and other physical properties of standard acrylic sheet with
impact strength that is SIX TIMES greater than standard acrylic.
Implex sheet is suitable for outdoor and indoor applications
where impact strength is critical. IMPLEX Impact Acrylic sheet
offers impact resistance along with excellent weatherability,
clarity and processing characteristics. IMPLEX sheet combines
the well known weatherability of Acrylic with proprietary impact
resistant chemistry, producing a tough clear material. These
properties along with outstanding thermoforming characteristics
provide a superior material for today's more demanding
IMPLEX sheet incorporates proprietary technology that results in
significantly greater toughness than standard Acrylic sheet.

Yes, our screens are D.O.T approved. We
stamp each screen with D.O.T. and all relevant numbers, which is
important if you live in a state with vehicle registration
Why do AeroFlow screens work better than
We make screens that offer more protection with less buffeting
by utilizing these basic design concepts:
Compound vs. Simple Curves - We use compound curves in our
designs to add strength and create a more aerodynamic shape to
better control the airflow. For instance, an egg shape is more
aerodynamic than a flat or can shape.
Airfoils & Laminar Flow - Our definition of Laminar Flow is
different than the technical definition of Laminar Flow. We do
this to help the customer understand how and why our windscreens
Our definition of Laminar Flow is: Air "sticking" to the
frontside and the backside of the windscreen, with slower moving
air on one side & faster on the other. When this air connects,
it smoothes out the air leaving the top of the screen. This
smooth airflow hits the lip at the top of the screen and kicks
it 4-6" higher than a screen without this design. This lip and
the screen has to be designed perfectly for this to happen.
Other screens may have this lip but if it is not engineered to
work with the rest of the screen it will not have the same
What is a Laminar Flow Plate?
Laminar Flow Plates attach under the
windscreen, usually up against the dash. The
increased air intakes at the bottom of the screen allows more
air flow under the AeroScreen and up the dash. The Laminar Flow
Plate controls this airflow and attaches it to the backside of
the AeroScreen. The airflow then follows the AeroScreens
contours to the top of the AeroScreen where it merges with the
airflow from the front. This combined airflow smoothes out the
air leaving the top of the screen, which, in turn, is pushed up
and over the driver and passenger.
Why a 2-piece fairing design?
Use of this concept allows us to design an
air intake between the body (lower half) and windscreen (upper
half.) The intake relieves back pressure and allows Laminar
Airflow. The body is designed to direct air down and away from
the bike. These solutions are called Half Fairings and provide
more coverage than a windscreen, but not full fairing / touring
comfort, which is why we have designed AeroGards.
What are AeroGards?
AeroGards (also know as Fairing Lowers) are
designed to direct air away from the legs and torso that comes
around the gas tank. By redirecting that air they also help
maintain the integrity of the fairing's envelope of protection,
in some cases they nearly double the effectiveness. While
designed to work in conjunction with our fairings they should
improve the performance of any larger than stock screen.
What is Dual-Lok?
Dual-Lok (TM) is an industrial strength
interlocking fastening system made by 3M (TM). Dual-Lok attaches
to your bike or headlight with an adhesive backing safe for
motorcycle/automotive applications. Each piece has mushroom
shaped stems which interlock together to form a strong secure
hold. An audible "snap" is heard once Dual-Lok is engaged,
taking the product off is just as easy. Dual-Lok circles,
squares or strips are available from AeroFlow, please call us to

*Remember - When you apply an adhesive backed fasteners, the
bonding surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminates.

Please Note: Dual-Lok is not a warranty item. The mounting
surface must be completely clean for Dual-Lok to adhere
correctly. If the mounting surface is cleaned properly the
Dual-Lok will stick. Dual-Lok should be replaced every 12-18
months, depending upon wear and usage.
How dark is the smoke screen?
The smoke color is part of the plastic. It
is not painted on or a film tint, so you do not have to worry
about the smoke color peeling or scratching. The plastic is dark
black, not brown or gray. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being opaque,
it would rate a 8 1/2".

Because AeroFlow does it the old-fashioned way, by hand,
with real customer-service people who review, process and
package each order individually. We want to make sure your order
is correct and packaged in the most efficient way possible to
save you money and reduce costly mistakes.
Most shopping carts automatically calculate and instantly charge
for product & shipping, but do not always properly adjust
shipping costs for larger box-sizes requiring dimensional
weights, or allow for multiple-item shipments, or for any other
variables your order requires. You select the products, and you
are charged immediately. Your order gets shipped. Then if your
order isn't correct for any reason, exchanges or returns have to
be handled, adjustments to your credit card made. Not the way
AeroFlow would like your order experience with us to be handled.
By reviewing and packaging your order before processing your
charges, we can do our best to make sure it's correct. Any

and freight charges for product return, regardless of reason for

WARRANTY INSPECTION / WARRANTY RETURNS:
Number (“RAN”) Required
· All product being returned for warranty inspection (and
non-warranty returns) MUST be authorized by AeroFlow, Corp., and
have the “RAN” clearly marked on the outside of the shipping

without a “RAN.” Unauthorized returns will be returned to sender
at sender’s expense. We will not accept collect shipments. We
cannot be responsible for unauthorized returns, and are not
responsible for products lost or damaged by carrier (authorized

· All products returned for warranty inspection and found to be
defective will be replaced at no additional charge to customer.
· Customer is responsible for all shipping and handling fees of
all products being returned for any reason (warranty, customer
returns, exchanges, etc.).
RETURNS / EXCHANGES / REFUNDS (Non-Warranty):
Authorization number (“RAN”) Required
· AeroFlow, Corp. products may, within 30 days of receipt by
customer, be returned for credit, exchange or refund within the
following parameters. In addition, all items returned to us,
other than manufacturing defects, will be accepted at our
discretion only if they meet our resalable condition policy.
Customer is responsible for condition of all returned product

Amount of Restock Fee depends upon condition of product when
received at AeroFlow, Corp. and are at the discretion of

· 15% to 25% Restock Fee on used, MOUNTED, undamaged products.
· 30% to 50% Restock Fee will be assessed on Used, Mounted
products showing damage at time of inspection at AeroFlow, Corp.
· Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to sender.
· You must return product within 30 days of receiving a “RAN.”
· All products returned to AeroFlow, Corp. MUST BE CLEAN (no
bugs, etc.), PROPERLY WRAPPED and SECURELY BOXED to prevent
damage during shipping. Products damaged during shipping will
affect your restock fee. We assess Restock Fees based upon
condition of product when received at AeroFlow, Corp.
· ALL MOUNTING HARDWARE (brackets, screws, unused adhesives,
edgings, etc.) MUST BE RETURNED. You may be charged for missing
hardware, whether lost in shipment or just not returned.
· Credit or Refund are for cost of product only and do not
include shipping and handling fees.
· Refunds will be issued in the same method of payment as
original purchase payment (credit card refunds issued only to
same credit card as original payment).
VISIBLE IN-TRANSIT DAMAGE / FREIGHT CLAIMS:
Upon receipt of an obviously damaged package (crumpled boxes
and/or boxes with holes in them), you may:
· REFUSE DELIVERY. Make sure the driver makes note of refusal
due to In-Transit Damage. Notify us immediately. The package
will be returned to AeroFlow, Corp. AeroFlow, Corp. will file
Damage Claim with carrier and contact you regarding replacement.
· ACCEPT THE DAMAGED PACKAGE. Make sure the driver makes note of
visible damage to package. Notify us immediately. Immediately
inspect parts for damage due to carrier handling.
If damage is
· YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY FILE A DAMAGE CLAIM WITH THE CARRIER. The
carrier will instruct you how to process a damage claim, or if
the carrier is UPS, go online at www.ups.com to Report a Damaged
· YOU MUST KEEP ORIGINAL BOX AND ALL PACKAGING AS RECEIVED.
Without the complete package (shipping box, all interior
packaging, as well as merchandise), the carrier cannot verify
the damage and will void your claim.
· Do not return package to us. If you accept delivery of a
damaged package, you must file any damage claims.
If the damaged package was sent through the U.S. Postal Service,
contact your local postmaster for instructions. The original box
and all packaging must be retained for USPS inspection. Do not
return package to us, but please notify us so we may assist
SHORTAGES (MISSING PARTS) / CONCEALED DAMAGE:
· All package must be inspected carefully and immediately upon
· Shortages or concealed damage must be reported to AeroFlow
within 5 days of receipt.
· Claims will not be accepted after 5 days of receipt.
· Purchaser will be charged for replacement of missing or
damaged parts, including shipping and handling, if claim not
filed within 5 days.
· Be sure to thoroughly check box and under all packaging
materials before discarding box. Some mounting brackets and
hardware are secured under corrugated cardboard that is glued to
bottom of box. Mounting instructions and hardware are enclosed
in plastic bags.
